We, the proud owners of Kennel Toymaker, would like to welcome you to our home page made out of love for our papillons. The kennel is to be found on a small farm only 45 minutes by car from the Danish capital Copenhagen. Our papillonfamily ranges from newlyborns to wise old dogs at the age of 16 years.

Due to our intense interest in the breed, we tend to spend almost all of our spare time on the dogs. Lars also holds the position as chairman of the Danish Papillon Club. Both of us have had dogs around since childhood, and Lars has for the last 26 years been breeding American Cocker Spaniel under the kennel name Baboon. Marianne took her first steps into the world of Papillon in the year 1980. She was looking for a small breed, and one day at the library she found a book called "Papillon" by Runa Christensen. The book cover featured a black and white papillon with a heartbreaking smile - it was love at first sight!

In the beginning we only showed male dogs. We were very successful, and soon they were to be used in breeding. Nowadays you can find them in the pedigree of many topwinners. The most significant male so far is our Swedish import CH Fly High Valentino.

In 1992 Marianne got her first papillon bitch, and two years later the kennel of Toymaker was registred.

We have travelled a lot with our dogs, and that has given us many good experiences and friends all over the Continent. A trip overseas also made our CH Chagalls Amadeuz a champion in the US as well as in Bermuda, the first Danish owned male papillon to receive these championtitles. Our thanks goes to the kind people who gave him a good home while he lived in the States. During the years we have handled dogs of friends and acquaintances, with great success in Denmark as well as abroad. We have also exported dogs to Finland, Poland, Germany, Lithuania, Israel, Portugal, France and USA.

Today you will find some of the best papillon studs at the kennel of Toymaker. To mention a few, there is: CH Toymaker's Felix, CH Toymakers Cotton Eye Joe, CH Toymakers Better Be Good and CH Silenzio's Robin Hood. Toymaker has during the last few years been awarded honour prizes for its breeder groups. The dogs of Toymaker are among the most winning in Denmark and in Germany, and you often see them on BIS-placings. After 23 years of owning, handling and winning with papillons, we think that we have demonstrated that we have a way of seeing and developing good and healthy dogs, and also combining them for the better.
